Speaker Om Birla expressed admiration for the remarkable bravery displayed by soldiers who fought in tough conditions, highlighting the ultimate sacrifices of more than 500 soldiers.

In a solemn gesture, the House stood in silence to honor their memory. 'Operation Vijay' culminated successfully on July 26, 1999, after an intense three-month battle in Kargil, Ladakh, which the Indian Army declared as victory day.
