Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) leader T Harish Rao targeted the Congress-led government in Telangana, accusing them of failing to include any of the six guarantees promised during the elections in the Budget. 'The state government did not include any of the six guarantees in the Budget that they had spoken of during elections. Students, unemployed, employees, farmers, and women are upset with this Budget. They had expected a lot. They did not fulfill any of their promises,' Rao stated.

In sharp contrast, Telangana Civil Supplies and Irrigation Minister Captain N Uttam Kumar Reddy praised the Telangana Budget 2024-25, presented by Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka in the Legislative Assembly. Reddy highlighted the budget's vision for transforming Hyderabad into a world-class city. 'The Telangana budget has placed Hyderabad at the forefront of its development agenda, allocating a substantial Rs 10,000 crores to transform the state capital into a modern, sustainable, and citizen-centric metropolis,' he said.

Reddy also mentioned the Congress Government's proposal to expand the Metro Rail, developing 78.4 km of five extended corridors with an outlay of Rs 24,042 crores. This plan aims to connect key areas, including the Old City and Shamshabad Airport, enhancing public transportation. Additionally, funds for civic bodies such as GHMC, HMDA, and Metro Water Works have been allocated to improve services and infrastructure. The establishment of HYDRAA and the Musi Riverfront project, modeled after London's Thames, aim to address disaster response and environmental rejuvenation.
