Omar Abdullah, vice president of the National Conference, declared on Sunday that his party's performance in the Lok Sabha elections was 'spectacular,' suggesting that they are poised to form the next government in Jammu and Kashmir.

Abdullah criticized the BJP, saying it has 'not learnt any lessons' from the Lok Sabha results. He lambasted the party for failing to deliver on promises of development, job creation, and curbing terrorism, despite being in power for over a decade.

Addressing a public rally in Samba district's Gurha Slathia, Abdullah said, 'The BJP, which claimed it would win 400 seats, stopped at 240. People are dissatisfied and desire change,' he stated. He further commented on the high unemployment rates in J&K and questioned why local contractors and engineers were excluded from major projects like the Katra-Delhi Expressway. Abdullah urged voters to choose wisely in the upcoming assembly elections to ensure accountable governance.
