Indian-American organizations and US advocacy groups have welcomed the appointment of seasoned diplomat Vinay Kwatra as the Indian ambassador to the United States. They anticipate working with him to elevate the bilateral partnership to unprecedented heights.

Kwatra, who recently served as India's Foreign Secretary, was named the new Indian ambassador to the United States on Friday. The role had been vacant since January upon the retirement of Taranjit Sandhu. 'Indiaspora congratulates Shri Vinay Mohan Kwatra on his appointment as the next Indian Ambassador to the United States. He has served India honorably over a distinguished 30-year career,' the organization expressed.

'Ambassador Kwatra will undoubtedly play a key role in strengthening and growing the US-India relationship. We look forward to working with him,' they added. Mukesh Aghi, president and CEO of the US-India Strategic and Partnership Forum (USISPF), echoed similar sentiments, recognizing Kwatra's adept navigation of India's foreign policy during geopolitical challenges.

The USISPF welcomed Kwatra and vowed to continue bolstering the US-India strategic partnership. Atul Keshap, president of the US India Business Council (USIBC), also extended warm greetings and looked forward to advancing bilateral trade and economic ties under Kwatra's tenure. Kwatra's extensive experience, including overseeing a historic State Visit by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is expected to significantly strengthen US-India relations.
