Tesla CEO Elon Musk congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday for becoming the most followed leader in the world on the social media platform X.

In a post on X, Musk, who also owns X Corp., formerly Twitter, said, "Congratulations PM @NarendraModi on being the most followed world leader!"

PM Modi has amassed 100.1 million followers on X. Upon reaching this milestone earlier in the week, Modi expressed his excitement on X, stating, "A hundred million on @X! Happy to be on this vibrant medium and cherish the discussion, debate, insights, people's blessings, constructive criticism and more. Looking forward to an equally engaging time in the future as well." Other notable leaders with large followings include US President Joe Biden with 38.1 million and Turkiye's Recep Tayyip Erdogan with 21.5 million.

In addition to his following on X, Prime Minister Modi holds significant influence on YouTube and Instagram, with nearly 25 million subscribers and over 91 million followers respectively.
