Goa Assembly Congratulates Politicians, Health Initiatives

The Goa legislative assembly passed resolutions congratulating Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his third consecutive term, Rahul Gandhi for being elected Leader of Opposition, Om Birla for being elected Lok Sabha Speaker, and veteran BJP leader L K Advani for his Bharat Ratna award. The house also lauded health and tourism initiatives.

The Goa legislative assembly on Monday passed resolutions congratulating Prime Minister Narendra Modi for securing a historic third consecutive term and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi for his election as Leader of Opposition in Parliament.

During the monsoon session, the House unanimously passed these resolutions along with several other congratulatory motions.

The assembly also extended congratulations to Om Birla for his election as the Lok Sabha Speaker and to all elected MPs.

A motion celebrating veteran BJP leader L K Advani for receiving the prestigious Bharat Ratna award was also passed.

Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant and State Health Minister Vishwajit Rane were lauded for the installation of health ATMs at primary health centers in Mayer and Chodan, North Goa, aimed at diagnosing various illnesses.

Good wishes were extended to State Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte, who was honored with the prestigious 'Excellence in Governance' award for the India region at the ITB (Berlin) trade show in March.
