Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set a new milestone by becoming the most followed leader globally on the social media platform 'X', amassing over 100 million followers. His follower count dwarfs those of other prominent Indian politicians.
The Leader of Opposition, Rahul Gandhi, follows with 26.4 million followers, while Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has 27.5 million. Samajwadi Party's Akhilesh Yadav has 19.9 million followers, and West Bengal's Mamata Banerjee has 7.4 million. Rashtriya Janata Dal's Lalu Prasad Yadav and his son, Tejashwi Yadav, have 6.3 million and 5.2 million followers respectively. NCP Chief Sharad Pawar trails behind with 2.9 million.
Globally, PM Modi surpasses US President Joe Biden, who has 38.1 million followers. Dubai's ruler HH Sheikh Mohammed has 11.2 million, Pope Francis has 18.5 million, and PM Modi outnumbers notable athletes like Virat Kohli (64.1 million), Neymar Jr (63.6 million), and LeBron James (52.9 million), as well as celebrities such as Taylor Swift (95.3 million), Lady Gaga (83.1 million), and Kim Kardashian (75.2 million).
In the past three years, Modi's presence on 'X' has grown by approximately 30 million users. His influence extends to other platforms like YouTube and Instagram, where he boasts nearly 25 million subscribers and over 91 million followers respectively.
Since joining 'X' in 2009, PM Modi has maintained an active and engaging presence, frequently interacting with common citizens and never blocking anyone. He has never relied on paid promotions or bots, captivating millions with his insightful and engaging posts. (ANI)
