U.S. President Joe Biden stated on Thursday during a news conference that he would not have chosen Kamala Harris as his vice president if she lacked the qualifications to be president.
Biden emphasized Harris's experience as a senator and a prosecutor prior to her vice-presidential role, responding to a reporter's inquiry. He further highlighted her effective advocacy for women's reproductive freedoms over the past four years.
"She is qualified to be president," Biden declared. "That's why I picked her."
