China Accuses NATO of Provoking Chaos Over Ukraine Stance

China has accused NATO of seeking security measures that endanger other nations, urging the alliance not to extend its 'chaos' to Asia. This statement follows NATO's characterization of China as a 'decisive enabler' in Russia's conflict with Ukraine.

'NATO hyping up China's responsibility on the Ukraine issue is unreasonable and has sinister motives,' said Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian. He reiterated China's neutral stance on the Ukraine crisis, despite not condemning Russia's invasion and maintaining robust trade relations with Russia.

NATO's recent communique described China as supporting Russia's defense sector and criticized its 'no-limits partnership' with Russia. Lin defended China's trade with Russia as compliant with WTO rules and accused NATO of creating an unfair security environment. He highlighted China's concern over NATO's developing ties with Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and South Korea, while also defending Chinese military exercises in Belarus as standard practice.
