Election Commission Gears Up for Jharkhand Assembly Polls with Review Meetings

The Central Election Commission team arrived in Ranchi for a two-day visit to review preparations ahead of the assembly election scheduled for later this year. DC Ranchi, Rahul Kumar Sinha, stated, 'A review meeting is scheduled with all the state districts tomorrow, with the special session taking place in Ramgarh district. The Election Commission of India will detail the preparations across all districts.'
IG Operations AV Homakar noted that field officers had successfully conducted Lok Sabha polls and are preparing for peaceful Vidhan Sabha elections. 'The commission's team will review various points with deputy commissioners, the chief electoral officer, and other officials. Recent Lok Sabha polls were conducted peacefully, and we are making necessary preparations for the upcoming assembly election,' he said.
Homakar added that police-related review points will be presented to the commission. Chief Electoral Officer K Ravi Kumar stated the second special summary revision is underway, and all district election officers will meet on Thursday in Patratu for a comprehensive review meeting. 'There is no indication of early polls. We are prepared,' he concluded.
