Indian-American community leader and attorney Hardam Tripathi has been officially elected as an alternate delegate for the upcoming Republican National Convention in Wisconsin. This event will formally nominate former U.S. president Donald Trump as the party's candidate for the presidential elections.

At 78, Trump is set to run against 81-year-old incumbent President Joe Biden of the Democratic Party. The Republican National Party (RNP) convention will take place in Milwaukee from July 14 to 18, where Trump will be confirmed as the party's nominee for the November 5 elections.

"This will be my first time serving as a National Delegate at the RNC, and it is a distinct honor to represent Florida's 15th Congressional District in a historic election," Tripathi stated. A lifelong Republican, Tripathi is also a US Immigration Attorney at Trip Law, dedicated to assisting Afghan translators and others in dire humanitarian situations. Earlier this week, Dr. Sampat Shivangi was also elected as an official delegate to the convention for the sixth time.
