Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Thursday reiterated that the pledges woven into the BJP's election manifesto represent 'Modi's guarantee.' He assured that the state's governance under the BJP would tackle the pressing issues confronting villagers.
Majhi made these declarations during his visit to the birthplace of the revered Utkalmani Gopabandhu Dash in Suando village, Puri district. 'We acknowledge the challenges faced by rural residents, long overlooked by the previous administration,' Majhi informed reporters.
The BJP manifesto, he vowed, promises fulfillment within the next five years, including a minimum support price of Rs 3,100 per quintal of paddy, piped water for all households, and sturdy homes for the impoverished.
The chief minister, alongside deputies KV Singh Deo and Pravati Parida, paid floral homage to Utkalmani Gopabandhu Dash's statue. The team engaged with the local population to understand their concerns.
Majhi also revealed plans for a 'Sambrudha Krushak Niti' aimed at comprehensive agricultural development within 100 days. Earlier, Majhi toured Puri where, for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic, all four gates of the Jagannath temple were opened.
