Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu pledged on Thursday to focus on fulfilling the promises outlined in the BJP's election manifesto.

Fresh off his oath-taking ceremony for a third consecutive term, Khandu attributed the BJP's return to power to the Centre's developmental initiatives in the Northeast.

'We are committed to fulfilling all our promises. The next five years will be guided by our electoral commitments for the welfare and development of the people,' he stated. The first cabinet meeting will outline a developmental roadmap for the first 100 days of the new administration, he added.

Highlighting Arunachal Pradesh's unique cultural tapestry with 26 major tribes and over 100 sub-tribes, Khandu assured his government's dedication to inclusive welfare and progress. He urged citizens to join 'Team Arunachal' in expediting development.

'Prime Minister Narendra Modi has shown special care for the region, and I foresee a significant surge in developmental activities in Arunachal Pradesh in the upcoming years,' he noted. Khandu also announced the induction of one woman into the cabinet to motivate women to compete in the 2029 polls.
