New Delhi, Jun 9 (PTTI): A sweeping reshuffle marks the third term of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, with 37 ministers, including seven cabinet-rank officials, being dropped. Prominent figures like Smriti Irani, Anurag Thakur, and Narayan Rane did not retain their positions. Eighteen of these ministers had lost in the recent elections.
Parshottam Rupala, Arjun Munda, RK Singh, and Mahendra Nath Pandey, who held significant roles in the previous government, were also not retained in the new Council of Ministers. All Ministers with Independent Charge, however, managed to keep their positions. Out of 42 ministers of state, a substantial 30 have been dropped.
