Prem Singh Tamang, the leader of Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM), has attributed the party's resounding victory in the assembly election to the relentless hard work of the SKM cadre and the unwavering trust of the people in his government.

SKM has secured 26 seats in the 31-member assembly, marking their second consecutive term in power. Counting is underway, and the party leads in five additional seats.

After the triumph, Tamang, who is also the chief minister, extended his gratitude to party supporters and voters. 'We earned the people's love and trust over the past five years. Party cadres were exceptionally diligent. Our next five years will be dedicated to serving Sikkim to the best of our abilities,' he declared during a gathering at Paljor Stadium in Gangtok.

Tamang won from the Rhenock and Soreng-Chakung constituencies, while SDF president Pawan Chamling faced defeat in both seats he contested.

In a striking comment, Tamang also thanked the opposition for making SKM stronger and more organized. He urged party workers to remain calm in the wake of the landslide victory.
