By Amit Kumar The people of Varanasi are all set to welcome their MP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a road show in the evening, the day before his nomination on May 14th from Varanasi Lok Sabha. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is seeking his third consecutive term from Varanasi.

Among the voters there is a great deal of enthusiasm, Neeraj Kumar Neotia, a resident said that Varanasi has changed a lot in the last 10 years, "The lives and lifestyles of the people here have changed, Modi ji has created employment here. After he came to Kashi, self-employment has risen so much that every small person in Varanasi is feeding his family and has a bright future. This is the biggest contribution of PM Modi. The construction of the Kashi Corridor is one of the biggest achievements of our PM for the holy city of Varanasi," he said. He further said that earlier, the work was done but the speed was very slow but in the Modi era, the work was done at a speed that the people of Kashi had never seen before. "They are seeing it only during the era of PM Modi. It is our good fortune that PM Modi is giving us the opportunity by contesting election from here. It is a matter of pride for us so we the people of Varanasi congratulate him and extend a warm welcome here," Neeraj Kumar told ANI

Another resident, Ashish Working as a guide in the city and a voter of Varanasi told ANI that they have a lot to thank their MP for. "Electricity to water, roads to railway station, airport everything has been changed and developed by PM Modi. The amount of work PM Modi has done in 10 years has not happened in the past 70 years. If PM Modi were not an MP from Varanasi, then such development could not have taken place, so I can say that PM Modi has done the work of taking the pride of Vanarasi to new heights," he said.

Ravi Kant, another voter for the Varanasi Lok Sabha Seat, told ANI that the PM had transformed Varanasi. He said, "A lot has changed in 10 years--so much that we cannot tell you. In our view, the many developments that have been done, including the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, and Ganga Ghats, are a big change. Work on more Ganga ghats is going on. Road construction work has been done very well. Today roads are being built everywhere. What could be a bigger change than this? He has transformed Varanasi, that's why he will definitely become MP for the third time from here." Aftab Ahmad, a shopkeeper in the heart of Varanasi City says the people of Varanasi love PM Modi. "What he has done for this entire region of Uttar Pradesh is unimaginable. We never thought before 2014 that such an amount of development and business opportunity would come here in this way but today is reality. Many government have come at Centre and state but have never honoured in this way what PM Modi did so all sections of the society of Varanasi want to see PM Narendra Modi as an MP of Varanasi," he said.

Manoj Sharma, an E e-rickshaw worker in Varanasi, told ANI that ever since PM Modi built the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, so many tourists have come and they are earning better using e-rickshaws. "Earlier, people used to say, how will Ganga be cleaned? But PM Modi also made this work possible and today, the Ganga is clean in Vanarasi. A stadium is also being built here. Roads have been built so what could be a bigger change than this? Hospitals have also been built. How much should be counted?" he said.

INDIA bloc has announced the name of Ajay Rai, the state president of the Congress Party in Uttar Pradesh. He will also contest the election from the Varanasi Lok Sabha seat for the third time against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He had lost to PM Modi in the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
