Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, on Tuesday, alleged that despite the BJP government's efforts to help the people of West Bengal through an array of schemes, its benefits were being seized by the Trinamool Congress and distributed by the party among its goons. Addressing a public meeting to seek support for the BJP candidate from Birbhum Debtanu Bhattacharya, Yogi remarked, "Under the patronage of the state government, the corrupt and the mafia are exploiting the common people of Bengal. The Congress, Communists, and Trinamool Congress have turned Bengal, a state once envisioned as 'Sonar Bangla' by revolutionaries, into a bleeding land."

"Disturbances erupted during Ram Navami celebrations, marked by vandalism during the Shobha Yatra. This echoes past troubles in Uttar Pradesh, which, remarkably, managed to transition from a similar scenario to a state of peace within seven years. Uttar Pradesh now celebrates Ram Navami with fervor and grandeur, characterized by numerous peaceful processions," Yogi added. According to the UP CM, the slogan 'No Curfew, No Danga, UP Mai Sab Changa' encapsulates this transformation. He described the current state of affairs in Bengal extremely disheartening, which "must have made the great revolutionaries from the state turn in their graves."

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath voiced concern over attempts by the Congress, Trinamool Congress, and INDI alliance to sow seeds of division in the country once again, urging people to oppose it vehemently. "It's an alarming situation in Bengal, where democracy is being manipulated, and infiltrators are openly sheltered to sow chaos. This nefarious agenda is evident even in the manifestos of these parties," he remarked.

Furthermore, CM Yogi said, "The deceptive nature of the Congress-Trinamool Congress alliance, particularly their proposal for Muslim reservation, is intended to lead the country towards another partition. People must oppose religion-based reservations tooth and nail to thwart their divisive agenda." CM Yogi Adityanath raised concerns about the INDI alliance's intentions to infringe upon the rights of Scheduled Castes, likening it to a robbery.

"This alliance aims to allocate a portion of the reservation meant for backward castes to Muslims," he said. He referenced past efforts by the Congress, such as the Justice Raghunath Mishra Committee and the Sachar Committee, which recommended reducing the reservation for backward castes. The committee mentioned reducing the 27 per cent reservation and allocating 6 per cent to Muslims--a proposal vehemently opposed by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). CM Yogi emphasised that such misleading tactics to gain power must be foiled.

"The powerful mafias, who controlled Uttar Pradesh before 2017, are begging for their lives today with placards hanging around their necks. They say, 'Spare our lives, we will feed our family by street vending and will never be a part of riots," CM Yogi said. He also accused the opposition governments of playing with the faith by allowing cow slaughter indiscriminately.

"Only the Bharatiya Janata Party can confiscate the property of the mafia and distribute it among people experiencing poverty. Today, big mafias have left Uttar Pradesh or been sent to hell; there is no place for them," he added. CM Yogi said, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi is committed to realising the concept of 'Atmanirbhar and Viksit Bharat'. With this, Bengal will also become self-reliant. Farmers, youth, women and businessmen here will also be self-reliant. Therefore, you must unite and vote for the BJP." (ANI)
