Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Wednesday expressed pleasure at Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the state, welcomed him and said that he is grateful to the PM for the way he worked for the development of the state. During the visit on Wednesday, PM Modi will address two public meetings, one in Sagar, another in Harda and will also hold a road show in the state capital Bhopal in the evening.

"It is our good fortune that PM Modi is coming to Madhya Pradesh once again and I welcome him on behalf of the 8.5 crore people of the state. I am grateful to him for the way he has worked for the development of Madhya Pradesh. Today he will begin the election campaign from Sagar and then in Harda. Later in the evening, he will hold a historic roadshow in Bhopal," CM Yadav told ANI. Meanwhile, the police administration also strengthened the security in the state capital and deployed over 2500 police jawans along with over 25 senior police officials for the preparation for the PM's roadshow.

Over 2500 jawans along with 25 senior police officials are looking after the security arrangements. The police are also taking care that common people do not face any problem with this security arrangement. In view of the PM's roadshow, there will be a traffic diversion in the New Market area after 6 pm and no major traffic diversion in the city. Also, there will be a diversion on VIP road after 6 pm for some time so people are instructed to go to the airport a bit early, he added. PM Modi's roadshow will begin from Malviya Nagar Tiraha and conclude at Major Nanke crossing in the city. It will be the prime minister's fifth visit to the state within this month in view of the Lok Sabha elections. Earlier, he came to Jabalpur on April 7, Balaghat on April 9, Narmadapuram on April 14 and Damoh on April 19.

Polling for the Lok Sabha in Madhya Pradesh will be conducted in four phases, with the next three phases of voting scheduled for April 26, May 7 and May 13. The counting of votes has been scheduled for June 4. Madhya Pradesh has a total of 29 Lok Sabha constituencies, making it the sixth-largest state in terms of members it sends to the Lower House. Of these, 10 seats are reserved for SC and ST candidates, while the remaining 19 are unreserved. (ANI)
