BJP's candidate from the Bhuvanagiri Lok Sabha seat, Boora Narsaiah Goud filed his nomination for Lok Sabha elections. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar also accompanied Goud and participated in the election rally in support of him in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district on Tuesday.
After the nomination, Jaishankar said, "We have just submitted the nomination papers of our candidate. As I said, he is a very good candidate, he is a very well-known candidate, so we have full confidence that the people here will show confidence in him and will make him an MP and send him to Delhi to strengthen the hands of Modi ji." Meanwhile, the Congress has fielded Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy from the Bhuvanagiri Lok Sabha.
The Lok Sabha election in the 17 parliamentary constituencies of Telangana will be held on May 17. In the previous 2019 general election, Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) won 9 seats. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secured 4 seats. The Indian National Congress (INC) obtained 3 seats. All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) won 1 seat. (ANI)
