Bharatiya Janata Party MP Manoj Tiwari on Thursday slammed Arvind Kejriwal over his remarks on the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and said that being a Chief Minister, Kejriwal was spreading fake news about CAA. "By opposing CAA, Kejriwal has proved that he is a big enemy of Hindus, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists and Jains. The people of Delhi and the country had never thought that you (Kejriwal) would stoop so low. Being a Chief Minister, you are spreading fake news about CAA. PM Modi has done the work of giving citizenship to those who were being tortured in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh. You are spreading fake news that 2.5 crore people will come in India. This law is for those who have come till December 31, 2014, and has nothing to do with the citizenship of Muslims," he said.

Tiwari also took a dig at the Delhi CM and termed him a "Machine of hatred." "They will not get a 'Sheesh Mahal' like yours but will be given a house under PM Awas Yojana," he added.

Meanwhile, responding to the criticism made by Arvind Kejriwal regarding the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), Union Home Minister Amit Shah asserted that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo's outburst stemmed from his party's alleged exposure in corruption cases and said if he is concerned about national security that he must talk about Bangladeshi infiltrators. In an interview with ANI, Amit Shah said, "The Delhi Chief Minister has lost his composure after his party's alleged corruption got exposed."

"He (Kejriwal) is unaware that all these people have already taken refuge in our country. They are living in India. Those who arrived in our country by 2014 will get citizenship," Shah said. CM Kejriwal responding to Amit Shah's remarks alleged that the migration that will happen due to CAA will be bigger than what happened during the partition.

"In his statement, the Home Minister did not answer any questions raised by me but he said Kejriwal is corrupt. I am not important. I ask him - when we are not capable of giving employment to our people, then how will we give employment and housing to refugees from Pakistan? The migration that will happen due to CAA will be bigger than what happened during the partition," he said. (ANI)
