French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and the President of the European Council Charles Michel reaffirmed their "unwavering support" to Armenia on Thursday after meeting the country's Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. "(They) underlined their unwavering support to the independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability of the borders of Armenia," it said in a statement after a meeting that took place in Granada, during summit of the European Political Community.
"They also expressed their support to the strengthening of EU-Armenia relations, in all its dimensions, based on the needs of the Republic of Armenia". Azerbaijan last month seized back control of a region populated by ethnic Armenians, prompting more than 100,000 of them to flee to Armenia.
