Zambia: Kasama to get $20m 4-star hotel and shopping mall soon

Kasama, a city in the Northern Province of Zambia is going to have a four-star hotel and shopping mall soon. Mikalile Investments has completed and submitted its architectural designs for the development of a close to USD 20 million four-star hotel and shopping mall at Kasama Golf Club in Zambia’s Kasama to the Provincial Administration.

According to Lusaka Times, the project will create 1200 direct and indirect jobs at the construction and operational stages. Reports suggest that 700 and 500 jobs will be available during the construction and operational stages respectively. Whereas, the projected investment has scaled up from the initial USD 12 million to USD 20 million.

The company has given a hint that it will have a priority start with the Modernisation of the Kasama Golf that will anchor the multi-million Investment. Other things to be included such as a state of the art nine-hole golf course, clubhouse, kitchen, restaurant, full conference facilities, gymnasium, play center for children to name a few.

All the above facilities are to be fully furnished and equipped by Mikalile Investments. Once everything is completed, it will be handed over to the Golf Club before the commencement of construction of the Hotel and Shopping Mall. While phase one will be completed by 2020, the second phase of construction will be done by 2021
