Siblings drown in river of Rajasthan's Baran district

A woman and her brother drowned in the Paravan river in Rajasthan's Baran district, police said Saturday.
The incident took place on Friday evening when the deceased-- Nisha Harijan (24) and her younger brother Naresh Harijan (22) allegedly fell into the river in Aaton village under Atru police station, they said.
While Naresh's body was fished out on Friday night, his sister was recovered on Saturday morning. The bodies were handed over to the family members after postmortem, they added.
According to the SHO of Atru police station Roop Singh, the rescue operation was launched immediately after the incident but the siblings could not be saved.
It is yet to be ascertained whether they accidentally fell into the river or intentionally jumped into it, Singh said.
