U.S. Tightens Grip with Fresh Iran Sanctions
The U.S. Treasury announced new sanctions targeting several entities, individuals, and LPG tankers linked with Iran. The measures affect companies in the Marshall Islands, UAE, and China, as well as Panama-flagged tankers. This move intensifies the U.S. government's economic pressure on Iran through strategic sanctions.
The United States has intensified its economic pressure on Iran by imposing a fresh set of sanctions. These sanctions specifically target a selection of entities, individuals, and LPG tankers, the U.S. Treasury Department's website revealed on Friday.
The list includes 12 entities, with five based in the Marshall Islands, four in the United Arab Emirates, and one in China. This announcement marks a calculated move by the U.S. to further isolate Iran economically.
Additionally, six vessels are included in the sanctions, with four operating under Panama's flag. This strategic targeting of both land-based and maritime assets underscores a multifaceted approach to limiting Iran's economic capabilities.
