The political landscape in Tamil Nadu has been shaken as DMK threw its weight behind AIADMK's request for a CBI probe into allegations of 'horse trading' following the resignation of four AIADMK MLAs. These lawmakers subsequently allied with the ruling party.
Speaking to journalists, Elangovan, a seasoned DMK leader, labeled the AIADMK's demand as legitimate, questioning the sudden decisions of the deserting lawmakers. "What prompted these resignations right after they had secured their positions?" he pondered, suggesting a deeper motive behind their party change.
AIADMK whip Agri S S Krishnamoorthy appealed to Tamil Nadu's governor, advocating for action against the supposed unfair practices. Meanwhile, aligning with Congress's critique of the Modi government's educational policies, Elangovan also reprimanded India's faltering national examination system.
Comments from Congress leader Rahul Gandhi further complicated the political discourse, asserting that the central education policies have severely harmed India's educational framework. Gandhi's statements followed recent disruptions reported by the National Testing Agency concerning a critical undergraduate entrance examination.
