MSRDC Launches Control Room for Mumbai Monsoon Emergencies

The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation is establishing a 24-hour control room for the Mumbai Metropolitan Region to address monsoon emergencies from June 1 until September 30, 2026. It will coordinate efforts among government agencies and has issued several helpline numbers for public assistance.

The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) has announced the creation of a 24-hour monsoon control room to manage rain-related emergencies in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. This initiative will start on June 1 and continue until September 30, 2026.

Staffed by officers and engineers, the control room aims to ensure swift responses to any seasonal contingencies. It will work closely with emergency bodies, including state government and municipal corporations in Mumbai, Thane, and Navi Mumbai. To enhance public accessibility, the MSRDC has provided helpline numbers: toll-free 1800228384, control room 022-26420914, and mobile 8928128406.

The MSRDC's engineering department is responsible for maintaining flyovers in the area, playing a crucial role in the preparedness for the monsoon.
