The Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has successfully apprehended a suspect in connection with an improvised explosive device (IED) found at a private hospital in Pune. The man, Shivaji Rathod, was arrested from a train in Nagpur.

Officials report Rathod as a Pune resident, where evidence linked him to the crime. The ATS utilized CCTV footage and technical evidence to trace his movements, intercepting him aboard the Shalimar Express.

Rathod is believed to have been fleeing when detained with assistance from the Railway Protection Force. The investigation is focusing on uncovering the motive behind the planting and determining if there were any accomplices involved.
