The ministry expressed hopes that Ukraine would reciprocate, but also warned of a massive retaliatory missile strike on Kyiv if Victory Day celebrations were disrupted. The statement noted Russia's past restraint for humanitarian reasons but emphasized readiness to respond if the ceasefire was violated.
The ministry strongly advised Kyiv's civilians and foreign diplomatic staff to leave the city promptly to ensure their safety during this crucial period.
