In a tragic turn of events in Nagpur city, the bodies of a woman and her 29-year-old married daughter were discovered hanging at their Vyankatesh Nagar residence early Friday morning. Authorities suspect a case of suicide prompted by the daughter's recent bereavement.
The deceased have been identified as Sangeeta Dhabale, 52, and her daughter Akanksha Brahme. Akanksha had recently lost her newborn baby, an event that relatives say had deeply affected her. She had been residing with her mother post the tragedy.
The incident came to light when Akanksha's husband, Lokesh, arrived at the house around 7 am and found no response to his knocking. Upon peering through a window, he saw the mother-daughter duo hanging. Neighbors quickly assisted in breaking down the door. Police have initiated an investigation, focusing on the possibility that the baby's death might have led to this extreme decision.
