A 21-year-old man lost his life and his friend was injured in an alleged shooting by a Delhi Police head constable in Jaffarpur Kalan village, police said. The incident, which occurred post-midnight on Sunday, has been described by the victim's family as a caste-motivated attack.
According to reports, the accused, Neeraj, engaged in a verbal altercation with the victim, Pandav Kumar, and his friend Krishan following a birthday celebration. During the argument, Neeraj reportedly shot Pandav from point-blank range, with the bullet also striking Krishan.
Pandav's mother claims the altercation was unprovoked, and Neeraj showed hostility based on the family's Bihar origins. The local community is rallying for immediate action and justice as police continue to investigate the incident.
