In a shocking incident in Kohandaur village, police have arrested Ram Lal for allegedly murdering his daughter, Sonam, with an axe. The incident reportedly stemmed from a heated argument over an unprepared dinner meal.

According to Station House Officer Dhananjay Rai, police apprehended Lal near his residence, recovering both the axe and a stick allegedly used in the heinous act. Assistant Superintendent of Police (City) Prashant Raj Hooda confirmed that the 30-year-old victim had visited her parents a day earlier.

The altercation unfolded after Lal reportedly sold his crops and consumed alcohol, resulting in a violent confrontation with his daughter. Authorities stated that he first assaulted her with a stick before resorting to an axe. Attempts to cover up the crime by erasing evidence failed as Lal confessed during police interrogation.
