An explosion at a firecracker factory in Maharashtra's Palghar district resulted in the death of one worker and injured five others, according to local police.
The explosion occurred in a tin shed within an old farmhouse in Konsai village, Wada taluka, during a chemical mixing process. Two arrests have been made related to the incident.
Authorities are probing potential safety violations, as the factory, which started operations in April, may have been operating without necessary licenses. The district police have arrested the shed owner and another individual while searching for a third suspect.
