Tragedy at Babina: Army Jawan's Unfortunate Demise

Komal Singh, an Army jawan stationed at Babina Cantonment, died by suicide, using his service rifle. The incident transpired during his duty hours and an investigation is underway to determine the cause. Singh was immediately taken to an Army Hospital but succumbed to his injuries. A tragic incident unfolded at the Babina Cantonment in Jhansi district when Army jawan Komal Singh reportedly took his own life using his service rifle. According to police, the event occurred on Monday afternoon while Singh was on duty.

Originally from Gwalior, Singh served as a naik in the Defence Security Corps. Tragically, he shot himself in the head with his INSAS rifle. Nearby personnel, including a havildar, quickly alerted authorities, and Singh was rushed to an Army Hospital. Sadly, he did not survive.

Babina police station's SHO Vinay Kumar Sahu stated that an investigation is underway to determine the circumstances leading to Singh's tragic decision. His body has been sent for a post-mortem, and his family has been notified.
