A Special Police Officer (SPO) from the Jammu and Kashmir Police has been removed from service after allegedly being involved in an NDPS case in the Anantnag district. The action follows a serious allegation that SPO Mohammad Ashraf Malik from Kuchal in Kishtawar was associated with a narcotic offense registered at Devsar Police Station.
The senior superintendent of police in Anantnag took decisive measures given Malik's supposed involvement, resulting in his formal disengagement. This decision aligns with the department's strong stance against any personnel misconduct.
The Jammu and Kashmir Police Department emphasizes its zero-tolerance policy concerning unlawful activities among its ranks. The department is committed to keeping the rule of law intact and ensuring accountability across all levels of its operations.
