In Navi Mumbai, police have arrested a 59-year-old man accused of forging documents to illegally sell a plot of land designated for public services. The land, located in Koparkhairane and reserved by CIDCO, was illegally sold and developed upon using fabricated documentation.
Upon receiving a complaint, authorities launched an investigation that uncovered the alleged involvement of Prabhakar Atmaram Mhatre, a local resident. Mhatre is accused of creating false documents to facilitate the illegal sale of the CIDCO-owned plot. He was detained on Wednesday as the investigation continues.
