In a recent intelligence-led operation, Pakistan's security forces eliminated eight militants in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a province bordering Afghanistan, according to an army statement released on Thursday. The operation, carried out along the strategic Pakistan-Afghanistan border, targeted militant movements reported on Wednesday.

The army's media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), confirmed that security forces effectively neutralized these threats in North Waziristan district, recovering arms and ammunition from the location. This development highlights ongoing tensions and security challenges in the region.

Pakistan has reiterated its concerns over Afghanistan's failure to manage border security effectively. The statement urged Afghan authorities to enhance efforts to prevent their territory from being used against Pakistan, stressing the seriousness of Operation Azm-e-Istehkam as it continues nationwide to counter militancy.
