The trouble began when a group of individuals attempted to book a room but were asked by hotel staff to provide identity documents. Upon refusal, an argument ensued between the guests and the hotel employees, leading to the alleged shooting incident.
Circle Officer Deoband, Abhitesh Singh, stated that the police are investigating the case. The demand for identity proof is a standard procedure, underlining security protocols at the establishment.
