Early Tuesday morning, the US Consulate in downtown Toronto became the target of gunfire, as two assailants in a white Honda CRV SUV fired multiple shots at the building. No injuries were reported, but the incident is being treated as a national security threat.
Canadian authorities, including the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, are collaborating with Toronto police to identify and apprehend the suspects. The attack has escalated already heightened security concerns linked to the ongoing Iran war and recent attacks on local synagogues.
