In a bid to capture Saifullah, a Pakistani commander of the banned Jaish-e-Mohammad group, authorities in Doda district have intensified efforts, circulating posters at strategic points. The move follows intelligence reports suggesting Saifullah is desperate to flee while possibly disguising himself.
The Senior Superintendent of Police, Doda, emphasized the need for public assistance, urging residents to report any suspicious activity immediately. Security forces remain on high alert, conducting ongoing search operations particularly in the Thathri area.
Meanwhile, security operations across the Jammu region have ramped up following recent encounters with militants. A terrorist hideout was recently uncovered in the Gandoh area, indicating recent terrorist activity, prompting heightened combing operations in surrounding areas.
