In a major crackdown on organized crime, police in Jharkhand's Latehar district arrested five members of the Rahul Singh gang, local authorities revealed Wednesday.

During the operation, law enforcement officials recovered two pistols, five live cartridges, and mobile phones from the suspects. The arrests occurred after a tip-off led police to a gathering at Parsahi Dagdagi Bridge.

The gang allegedly congregated with the intention of extortion from a local coal loading site. The accused, all aged between 19 and 33, were identified as Vishwanath Oraon, Sandip Yadav, Phoolchand Khalko, Tulsi Munda, and Tanveer Ansari.
