In a unprecedented move, Chhattisgarh witnessed the surrender of 103 Naxalites, including high-ranking members with significant bounties, to Bijapur authorities.
The mass surrender was driven by disillusionment with Maoist ideology and the appeal of the state's comprehensive rehabilitation programs, as confirmed by Bijapur Superintendent of Police Jitendra Kumar Yadav.
This event underscores a significant trend of Naxalites opting to abandon violence, swayed by development works and policies promoting their reintegration into civil society.
