Union Minister Ramdas Athawale engaged in talks with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday, addressing concerns about Buddhist control over the Mahabodhi Temple Complex's management.
At a meeting with the JD(U) leader, Athawale brought up the demand to revoke the Mahabodhi Temple Act, which limits control of the temple trust to Hindu and Buddhist members, with the district magistrate acting as chairperson.
Athawale expressed solidarity with Buddhist monks advocating for change and announced plans to meet with Nitish Kumar and the state governor regarding the issue.
