In the aftermath of a devastating earthquake that struck Myanmar and Thailand, India has initiated 'Operation Brahma' to deliver essential relief materials. On Saturday, 15 tonnes of supplies were flown to Yangon, Myanmar, aboard an Indian Air Force C130J transport aircraft.
The aid package includes tents, blankets, and medicines, among other necessities. Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar confirmed the commencement of the operation with a post on the social media platform 'X'. The delivery was received by Yangon Chief Minister U Soe Thein.
India, acting as a 'First Responder,' emphasized swift coordination of relief efforts. With further support promised, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reaffirmed India's commitment to offering comprehensive assistance to both Myanmar and Thailand.
