An Indian Air Force civil engineer has been tragically killed in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. The victim, identified as SN Mishra, was shot at close range through the window of his official residence in the cantonment area.
Mishra, 51, was sleeping when an unknown assailant fired at him, striking his chest with a fatal bullet. Despite immediate medical attention at the Army hospital, Mishra succumbed to his injuries, according to police sources.
The case remains under investigation, with the police set to register a formal complaint following consultations with Mishra's family. Authorities have confirmed that further legal proceedings will be initiated shortly.
