The clash erupted in the early hours of the morning near the Kerlapal police station. Joint forces from the District Reserve Guard and the Central Reserve Police Force spearheaded the operation upon receiving intelligence about Maoist activity in the area.

A notable cache of firearms and explosive materials were seized, including an AK-47, INSAS rifles, and a rocket launcher. As operations continue, this accomplishment marks 132 Naxalite neutralizations in the region this year.
