Tragedy Strikes as Gas Cylinder Explosion Claims Life in Bhadohi

A 65-year-old man lost his life following a catastrophic gas cylinder explosion that led to the collapse of his house's roof in Bhadohi, police reported on Friday.
The tragic incident took place around 9 pm on Thursday when the deceased, Ummann Shah, and his wife Majidunnisa were at home. Chauri police station in-charge Ramesh Kumar revealed that Majidunnisa was cooking on a small gas cylinder when it exploded, causing their roof to collapse and trapping the couple underneath.
Both were critically injured and taken to a local hospital before being referred to Varanasi for advanced medical treatment. Shah succumbed to his injuries on Friday afternoon, while his wife is reported to be out of danger as the investigation continues.
