The latest CAG reports on the Delhi government's financial conduct unveil major irregularities during the AAP's tenure, sparking significant concerns. The reports, presented in the Legislative Assembly by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, indicate massive pending amounts due to unsanctioned or unverified government expenses.

In the fiscal year 2021-22, an unpaid sum of Rs 432.42 crore was identified, escalating to Rs 574.89 crore in 2022-23. Alarmingly, utilization certificates for an astounding Rs 9,314.85 crore remain unsubmitted, heightening the risk of fund mismanagement, reiterated Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta.

These reports, previously suppressed, highlight substantial financial savings lapsing due to delayed surrenders, amounting to over Rs 5,000 crore in each year. The PAC will now scrutinize the reports to ensure transparent use of public funds for Delhi's welfare.
