Supreme Court Transfers Justice Varma Amid Cash Controversy

The Supreme Court has restricted judicial work for Justice Yashwant Varma of the Allahabad High Court due to alleged cash discovery at his Delhi residence. The Supreme Court also dismissed a PIL urging police intervention in the cash discovery issue, labeling it premature. An in-house inquiry, led by a three-member committee, has been set in motion. Meanwhile, Justice Varma has refuted all claims, stating neither he nor his family were involved.
