Delhi police successfully foiled a possible gang conflict with the arrest of two members from the Manish alias Naniya gang in outer north Delhi. This development was confirmed by a senior police officer on Friday, who emphasized the significance of the operation in maintaining peace.

The operation was launched after a video emerged on social media showing the suspects, both aged 20, brandishing illegal firearms. Sumit alias Dheeth and Asif, residents of Mukundpur, were detained at Bhalaswa Jheel on Thursday. During the operation, two country-made pistols and four live cartridges were confiscated from them, the officer stated.

Interrogation revealed that Sumit had joined the Naniya gang seeking vengeance after surviving a gun attack by a rival group. It was disclosed that he received his firearm from Rahul, a Naniya gang member currently in Tihar Jail. A case under the Arms Act has been filed at the Bhalaswa Dairy police station, and further investigations are progressing.
