In a significant move, Shehzeen Siddique, the widow of former NCP leader Baba Siddique, has approached the court, expressing her intent to intervene in the ongoing proceedings concerning her husband's murder case.

Baba Siddique, a former Maharashtra minister, tragically lost his life on October 12 last year when assailants shot him outside his son Zeeshan's office in Mumbai's affluent Bandra East area. The intervention application, submitted by advocate Trivankumar Karnani, emphasizes the 'irreparable loss' she has endured and underscores the necessity of revealing the 'true and correct facts' to aid in a fair trial.

The plea reflects on the violent attack's impact, calling it a major loss not just to Siddique's family but to the nation. The case, which involves 26 arrests and further investigations, will see its next hearing on April 7 by special MCOCA judge B D Shelke.
